The proposed layout has been carefully planned to facilitate multi-generational living, creating a harmonious and functional environment for all family members. The new design introduces a separate living space that integrates seamlessly with the existing structure, providing a private and comfortable area for elderly relatives. This dedicated living space will feature additional sleeping accommodation with an easily accessible ensuite bathroom, ensuring convenience and independence for the elderly occupants. Moreover, the private living area included in the design will offer a quiet and comfortable retreat, promoting a sense of autonomy and privacy while still maintaining close family connections. These thoughtful alterations to the property aim to enhance the quality of life for all residents by fostering a supportive and inclusive living arrangement.

The new extension has been carefully designed to occupy a similar position to the existing garage, thereby maintaining a similar overall footprint of the property. However, the size of the extension has been slightly increased to ensure that the internal space is sufficient to meet the needs of multi-generational living. This slight increase in scale has been thoughtfully executed to preserve the proportionality and aesthetic balance of the property. Efforts have been made to ensure that the massing of the new extension is sympathetic to the existing flat roof garage, thus maintaining the visual coherence and harmony with the surrounding properties. The modern design of the extension aims to complement the existing architecture while respecting the character of the neighbourhood. The result is a contemporary addition that enhances the functionality and appearance of the property without imposing on the surrounding area.
