WELCOME TO MARRAUM

From the glimmer of an idea to the stroke of a pencil, the first turn of a door handle to the flickering of a smile across a face, at Marraum we bring more to your space – and take your story beyond its walls.

And we begin with you. Because at the heart of each architecture project – studio spaces, private loft conversions, commercial builds or building that dream home – are the people who use it.

They’re the yawns that stretch to eye-widening views in the morning. They’re the feet feeling cool concrete underfoot. They’re the eyes looking for inspiration at their desks. And the shoulders that hunker down in the evening. These are the people whose surroundings bring more to each and every experience.

With years of architecture and design experience in both Cornwall and further afield – paired with aesthetic drive, strong ethics and constant curiosity – we know how to make space work harder for you.So from beginning, middle and end – discover how you can bring your own story of space to life.

marraum-story

“I’ve always been drawn to the arts, which is what originally brought me to Cornwall to study acting at Falmouth University. After my course, I knew I’d found where I wanted to plant my roots and following a long background in hospitality, I joined the Marraum team.

While my background isn't in architecture, I’ve found a real passion for the industry. I love that every project brings a fresh perspective, and my role is all about bringing those moving parts together. Whether I’m prepping the admin side of a new enquiry or coordinating third-party information for the design team, I thrive on the variety of the work. I’m a naturally confident person and I really enjoy being the forward facing support for both the team and our clients, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

There is something incredibly exciting about seeing the sheer range of live projects we have at any one time; no two enquiries are ever the same. It’s a constant learning curve and I love being part of a team that creates such a diverse impact on the local landscape.

Outside of the office I’m constantly on the go! As a mum of two, we love getting outdoors as a family to explore new places and coastal paths - we’re particularly fond of a bit of fossil hunting when we can. When I do get some downtime, I’m a big fan of settling down with a film. I also have a keen interest in history, which makes living in heritage rich Cornwall absolutely fascinating.”
