OUR CONNECTION TO CORNWALL

For our architects, Cornwall isn’t just a place we call home. It’s woven into the fabric of who we are as people, professionals, and creatives. Daisy and Adam, the owners of Marraum, live in Falmouth, and their office is based in Penryn — a daily reminder of the beauty of Cornwall’s architectural and natural beauty. 

Although South Cornwall is our base of operations, we’re no stranger to North Cornwall architecture and have created homes throughout the county reflecting its unique combination of rural living while meeting modern needs. 

MARRAUM’S NORTH CORNWALL ARCHITECTURE PROJECTS

Gables of Grandeur — This beautiful house project in the coastal village of Crackington Haven transformed a modest mid-century property into a luxurious retreat. Designed to combine bold, dramatic architecture with refined minimalist sophistication to reflect the client’s appreciation for quality and aesthetic purity. 

Dwelling by the Dunes — Constantine Bay is a unique spot - a great swathe of golden sand around the coast from Padstow. A stones throw from the dunes is the Ark - a modern detached home nestled in a National Landscape. Looking for a full house re-design our clients set about working with Marraum to improve the quality of the space - enhancing the flow and use.  

All about the Angles — Chapel Porth Beach — a wild yet inviting cove on the north Cornish coast. Perched at the top of the cove, an old timber-framed miner’s cottage caught the eye of keen surfers Jamie and Helen. Eager to create their ideal coastal home, they turned to Marraum to bring their vision to life.

VIRTUAL REALITY

Did you know that Marraum were the first Cornwall architects to use VR in our design and build projects as standard? In the past, architects relied on 2D plans to demonstrate what a space would look like. But now, you can see what your future home looks like, long before construction starts. 

With this cutting edge technology, you can step into and explore the space and experience first-hand how your home looks and feels. Not only does this help you align your vision with the plans, but it also offers an opportunity to test design elements and remove anything you’re uncertain about.
