With an initial brief to remove and raise this delightful home’s roof, our project began to expand as we found creative ways to utilise Quarry House’s space – changing the layout to work better for the clients, whilst retaining the original ridge line of the property.
Quarry House is a unique home overlooking Falmouth Harbour, which is part underground and, naturally, bedrooms have been positioned in the darker areas, on the ground floor. We were careful to preserve the rich heritage of the landscape, ensuring the building retained a dormer bungalow appearance and had no negative impact on surrounding listed buildings.
Our client, Paul, has been amazing to work with on this project, taking full advance of our 3D and virtual reality offering to enhance the process and visualise the finished property. Quarry House's 3D plans were submitted successfully to neighbours and the Parish Council, with neighbours even giving their own letters of support to the project as a result – creating an extremely positive environment that only added to the client’s excitement.
The renovation is now in development, with Paul project managing on site, and we look forward to seeing the finished project in full!
