St Ives has been part of our story for as long as we can remember. From wandering its golden beaches as children to catching the train from our first home in Redruth so that we could walk across the bay and enjoy all the town has to offer, it has always held a special connection for us.
Whether exploring the winding back streets, spotting coastal wildlife or taking a moment to sit above the harbour and watch the tide roll in while shielding our pasty from the herring gulls, our time here has shaped many of our fondest family memories.
Over the years that connection has grown through a range of projects in and around St Ives, each giving us a deeper understanding of the town’s artistic heritage and the distinctive character woven through its streets and coastline. We have designed homes inspired by the iconic natural light, adapted spaces to suit modern family life and explored new ways to create architecture that feels naturally rooted in the landscape and sea.
Our most central project in the town was the reimagining of the traditional vicarage near the memorial gardens, creating a modern family home that draws inspiration from the ever changing character of St Ives. The project was enriched by our appreciation for the people who live and work here, as well as the unique charm that makes the town so distinctive.
These days our visits often include coastal walks, time by the harbour or simply wandering the narrow streets with fresh eyes. St Ives continues to inspire our work, shaping our approach to thoughtful design with a genuine sense of place.
